I have been visiting the Mayan ruins of Copan since
the 1960's, and have stayed in many hotels. What I like about the
Hotel Los Jaguares is its central location: directly on the main
plaza and one block from the museum.
The hotel is clean, the people who stayed are other travelers
(no drug dealers or criminals). Nowadays in Central America you
have to be careful who else is in the same hotel.
The room cost is moderate: this is not a super cheap place for
backpack travelers who want to be in a dorm. The rooms here have
private bath and hot water.
There is no hotel restaurant but in Copan village there are restaurants
everywhere nearby.
I am content with my stay here; we were in the hotel about three
days. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
